The latest, and perhaps final, monument on the National Mall. The brilliant sculpture of Martin Luther King, Jr. as the great American and Civil Rights leader looks across the Tidal Basin facing the Jefferson Memorial. Despite the controversy surrounding the Production materials and the nationality of the sculpture the monument stands tall as a testament to the greatest of the man and more importantly his ideas.

I was walking by the smithsonian last weekend and this caught my eye. I was testing out the G1 with a pancake lens (20mm f1.7) and this was the end result. I love this photograph, it just speaks without saying anything.
